Ayat. Modarresi calls on Iraqis to support Tal Afar liberation

"We will never forget the role that senior scholars, especially Shia sources of emulation, martyrs, commanders as well as political leaders played in liberating Iraq from ISIS terrorists and restoring dignity to our country," said Ayatollah Modarresi in a statement.

Hawzah News Agency (Karbala, Iraq) – In his weekly statement, senior Iraqi cleric Ayatollah Sayyed Muhammad Taqi Modarresi asked Iraqi people to support the resistance forces in the operation to liberate Tal Afar.

The senior scholar added, "We thank the Iraqi forces for their courageous deeds in Tal Afar liberation operation and stress that people must continue their support for our forces until the whole country is freed from terrorists and we reach the final victory."
